About the project

Road to Nice is a live training log for my first full Ironman. Every swim, ride and run is pulled from Garmin each morning; a planner re-writes the next three weeks from how I actually trained, slept and recovered.

The numbers here are the real ones. The predictions are my own model, not Garmin’s: what race day looks like if I stick to the plan, skip some of it, or stop.

Fourteen months, three sports, one start line on the Promenade des Anglais.

Swim. Bike. Run.

Each one measured at the same easy heart rate, so a faster number is real progress, not a harder effort.
